Can I convert my old propane barbecue grill or a BBQ smoker?

We bought a new grill incredible and you wonder to see with our old other than throw It Out. The burner is shot and we can not find a replacement, but the rest is a solid structure, I just want to know how in a barbecue grill or a smoker … I thought about lining the bottom with tile, but I do not think that will provide air circulation … suggestions?

Just take the burner and put the charcoal in. We have done too.
